Resident Evil 2 Sewer Key Location

The Sewer Key is found deep in the depths of the Sewers near the Bottom Waterway. To get there, you’ll first need to head to the Treatment Pool Room by way of the Monitor Room in the Sewers. Search the cable car area, as this is where you will find the T-Bar Valve Handle, which you will need to open certain doors in the Sewer as well as another room at the back of the R.P.D. police station.

The Sewer Key is found hanging on a board above an office desk near the Bottom Waterway of the Sewers. To get there, head through the passage to the west of the main section of the Lower Waterway. You know you’re in the right area if you see a T-Bar Handle Slot beside a door with bars. Place the T-Bar Handle into the slot to raise the door.

Continue along the narrow walkway toward the lit area on the opposite side. The Sewer Key will be hanging on the wall above the desk. You will likely come through this area during the campaign anyway, so just make sure you grab the Sewer Key when you do.

The Sewer Key in Resident Evil 2 is used to unlock two doors in the Upper Sewers, the Workers’ Break Room door and the Water Injection Chamber. Both doors are close to the room where you find the Hiding Place film roll, which you can develop to find a weapon upgrade and some additional ammo. The Workers’ Break Room happens to also contain a hidden elevator behind some lockers that will open up a secret route back to the R.P.D. police station.

Now that you know where to find the Sewer Key in Resident Evil 2, you should be able to obtain what you need from the Sewers. If you need a reminder on where some other keys are found in Resident Evil 2, check out our guide on where to find the Spade, Diamond, Heart, and Club keys.
