Masachika Kawata, co-producer of Resident Evil 5 has revealed that he’s hoping to make an original RE game for the Wii.

Eurogamer posted a video interview [link] with Kawata today, which explained his view on the possibility of making a new Wii Resi game.
“Personally I would like to create something on Wii in the Resident Evil family,” he revealed. “At the moment we don’t know and have just been working on RE5, so watch this space.”
We have seen Resi games on the Wii before in the shapes of a Resident Evil 4 and The Umbrella Chronicles, an on-the-rails shooter.
