Ring of Elysium is a new and upcoming free-to-play battle royale game that has recently been making waves within the battle royale community. Heralded as a PUBG ripoff that’s almost better than PUBG, many battle royale fans have been trying to get their hands on the game and give it a try. The bad news? Unfortunately, Ring of Elysium (or ROE when shortened) is only available in Thailand right now. The good news? You can easily translate the game into English. Today we’ll show you everything you need to know to download and install Ring of Elysium and translate it into English, so you can easily understand what’s going on and start playing.
Before we get started, we just want to make it clear that Prima Games never suggests downloading third-party applications unless you are comfortable working with them. The process in which you need to translate ROE to English is a bit complex for inexperienced users, so if you are not comfortable doing it, then please just wait for the game to release an English version.
How to Download Ring of Elysium
Unlike other battle royale games available right now, Ring of Elysium is only available through a third-party application called Garena. You can download this application by heading to the official website. Once you download the application, create an account for yourself and then log into it. It should automatically detect the closest region with games available.
Ring of Elysium is currently only available in Thailand, so you’ll need to head to Settings and change your region to Thailand in the General tab.
Once your region is changed, it’s time to set up the next step of the process. Now you need to download the game. While it downloads, head over to Source Forge and download Process Hacker. This application is a tool that works as a more complex and in-depth task manager. It will allow you to glean some useful information that you’ll need to push the English translation of ROE to your game client.
When ROE is downloaded, launch the game and then launch Process Hacker. You need to find the application in the task menu labeled as Europa_Client.exe. Right click on this and choose ‘Properties’. This should open the menu.
Look for the line marked ‘Command Line’ and copy the information. Once you have that information, open up your Notepad on Windows and copy the info into the notepad. It should look something like this:
"D:\Garena\ROE\32838\Europa_Client.exe" -garena -token=xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/xxxx== -uid=xxxx-language=th -server=login1101.game.roe.garena.in.th:8001
Now you need to add some content to the command line. You’ll want it to look like this once you are done:
"D:\Garena\ROE\32838\Europa_Client.exe" -garena -token=xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/xxxx== -uid=xxxx-language=en -server=login1101.game.roe.garena.in.th:8001
Make sure you change the TH in the command line to say EN, as this is the main source of the English translation that you want to push to the game.
Please keep in mind that the Xed out components in the command line are user specific. Because of this, do not share your command line with anybody else, as this will launch them into that specific account of the game, giving them access to all of your content.
Once you’ve edited the command line, be sure to save the notepad file as a .bat file and place it somewhere that you’ll remember. Make sure you save it as a .bat file or it won’t work. At this point you can close the game down and exit out of Process Hacker. If you don’t like having third-party applications on your computer, then go ahead and delete it from your PC as well. Now you can launch the .bat file, which should automatically launch ROE. The game should also now be translated into English.
Keep in mind, this isn’t an official English release for ROE, which means that the developers could fix this way of translating the game at any point in time. If you aren’t comfortable doing the steps outlined above, then you’ll need to wait for the game to be released in another region. For now, though, it will be interesting to see how ROE progresses and where the developers take the game from here, especially considering the recent international interest in it.
