Aerosmith Breaks Free From Guitar Hero Restraints, Returns To Rock Band Next Week

Four classics and two new songs await you with next Tuesday's update.

For the longest time, the only Aerosmith song that you were able to rock out with on Harmonix’s Rock Band games was the “Train Kept A-Rollin'”, which was released before the band signed up exclusively for their own Guitar Hero games.  But that’s about to change this Tuesday, as Steven Tyler and his crew are returning to the Rock Band party.

The company’s latest DLC will feature a six-pack of the band’s tunes, with two new songs from their latest album intertwined with four classics from their older days.  All of the songs are master recordings, and you can either buy them for $1.99 (160 Microsoft points) each, or pick up the whole six-pack for $9.99 (800 Microsoft points).

The songs are as follows…

Aerosmith – “Walk This Way”

Aerosmith – “Sweet Emotion” X

Aerosmith – “Back in the Saddle”

Aerosmith – “Dream On (Live)” X O

Aerosmith – “Legendary Child”

Aerosmith – “Lover Alot”

“X” indicates that there is a Pro Guitar/Pro Bass upgrade available for an extra dollar, and “O” indicates keyboard support.

If you like Aerosmith, you can finally jam without needing to pull out your copy of Guitar Hero.  Dream on, indeed.
