Spelunky HD Making its Way to PC/Steam this Summer

The retro-style platformer comes home in just a few months' time.

When it was first released last year for Xbox Live Arcade, Mossmouth’s Spelunky HD reboot was incredibly well-received, both in terms of sales and critical acclaim.  Now the game is moving to new platforms.

Along with the previously announced ports for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita will arrive sometime this year, Mossmouth confirmed that the game is “coming home” to the PC front.  The game is currently scheduled for release across both Steam and GOG, and will also be packed into the Humble Store soon enough.

Although the developer didn’t mention new features, you’ll still find plenty to do, with dozens of levels to complete, a slow but steady rise in difficulty and of course, the classic gameplay that makes Spelunky so much fun.

We’ll let you know once a specific release date is announced.
