EA has teased fans of SSX with a trailer for a new multiplayer mode.

The mode will allow five players (at least) to transcend the course at once. Judging by the level of opacity seen in other players in the trailer, collisions with others are unlikely to be a feature.
Presently, SSX’s multiplayer competition works solely based on leaderboards and challenges.
