Pac-Man is a bonafide video game icon, so it makes perfect sense for him to make a grand appearance in Super Smash Bros. Why not? After all, Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man made the cut. It’s about time Namco Bandai’s power-pellet munching mascot threw down in four-person battles.

With this in mind, yes, Pac-Man will be playable in both the Wii U and 3DS versions. While he’ll retain his humanoid form most of the time, you’ll transform him into his classic 2D appearane and take a bite from his opponents’ backsides.
