Ahh, Timesplitters. In case you somehow missed out on this series on PlayStation 2 and Xbox, you really missed something insanely cool. Featuring ridiculous time travelling and fun first-person shooting, there really was nothing like it. And though it’s been rumored for the longest time to be on the comeback trail, Crytek recently let us down easy and said, nope, it’s not being worked on.
But that isn’t stopping a bold group of fans from sounding off about how they feel about Timesplitters. A Facebook group that calls itself “100,000 Strong for Timesplitters 4” has started up, hoping to get Crytek’s attention by showing just how many fans really care about the series. So far, they’ve got 16,000, which is shy of their goal, but I believe they’re just getting started.
You can check out the petition for yourself over at this link and join the cause. We wouldn’t mind seeing Timesplitters make a comeback, but we feel that the time has to be just right for it. Like, maybe, when the Xbox 720 circles around…?
