Looking to get some new gear for Geralt in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt? The Blood and Wine expansion, which recently got released for the game, has what you need, with a Manticore Gear set up for grabs. You’ll be able to get your hands on some diagrams and create this armor set, along with swords to go with it. It’s got a lot in common with Geralt’s previous armor set, so fans will definitely feel nostalgic over it.
It’s a good medium grade armor set, one that embraces using alchemy builds in your attributes, as well as strong Toxicity tolerance and the ability to resist piercing, bludgeoning and slashing damage a lot more than you would with typical armor. You can earn extra bonuses on top of that, especially when you’ve got three or six Manticore pieces on your person.
Find the Grandmaster Craftsman In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
First, you’ll need diagrams in order to create the armor. It’s a Grandmaster quality, so a matching craftsman is required to get this done. You’ll need to head to Beauclair to find him.
Head towards Lazare Lafargue’s Workshop, right in the center of the area, and agree to a side quest given so he can put together the armor. You’ll have options asking about different parts of the Gear sets, including Manticore. Ask about that, and the Scavenger Hunt for the diagrams will be good to go.
Starting With the Manticore Steel Sword Diagram In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Head to Bastoy Prison, then make your way to the lake just on the northwest side of Beauclair. From there, take a turn to the west and you’ll get to the prison. There will be an Alp about, so be careful for that. Get to the side wall and make your way up, and then reach the scaffolding that will take you to the top of the prison tower. Activate your Witcher Sense, and you’ll see the diagram, located within the stone wall.

Next up, make your way to Francollarts and go east, where you’ll head towards Gelenser Farm. Go to the southeast and you’ll come to a narrow canyon, with a cave entrance. A few panthers will be around, so stay on your guard. Go inside the cave, and you’ll see various notes on the walls. Look for one on the far side labeled Merten’s Prayer, and you’ll find the armor diagram on the back side.
Getting the Manticore Trousers and Boots Diagrams In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Next up, go to Piegmund’s Bridge and head northwest, and you’ll get to Prophet Lebioda’s Statue. You’ll find an Abandoned Temple right across from its space. The Aard will be needed to get through the cracked wall, so you can enter the room. Keep going straight and you’ll come to some steps. Before you go up, activate your Witcher senses and look for a small box. The diagrams for the Boots and Trousers will be inside.
Getting the Manticore Silver Sword Diagram In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
You need a good sword here, and the Manticore is as good as any. Find the Palace Gardens just to the south of the Beauclair Palace, and keep walking south along the shoreline. You’ll see an inlet with a bay nearby. You can swim to it and find a cave entrance, which will take you into the Murky Delve. Watch out for fumes, as they can cause hallucinations. A pair of Bruxa will appear soon thereafter. Take them out quickly, then head up the stone platforms. You’ll see a corridor with crates. Head through it, and you’ll run across some Kikimore Workers. Take them down and continue on.
Stone platforms will be aligned on the left side. Go up them and look for a cracked wall. Aard will break through this with ease. Take the path and you’ll come to the right side of a nearby pond. Look for a beam of light along the far wall, and a nearby specter next to an altar. Take a peek around and you’ll come across the diagram for the sword.
Getting the Manticore Gauntlets Diagram In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Finally, go east from the Cockatrice Inn, as you make your way to Basane Farm. Go past it and keep going that way, and you’ll reach the Lake of Cleansing. Find the dock and jump on in. Activate your Witcher senses, and you’ll find a small container in the lake itself, which has the diagram inside. Once you find this (and the others), your quest will be done, and the Craftsman can get to work. You’ll need to go back Lafargue, but once you do, he’ll be happy to oblige.
