Hawken Closed Beta Begins October 26th

Hawken, the absolutely gorgeous free-to-play mech combat title, will be entering closed beta stage on October 26^th.

Meteor Entertainment, the game’s independent developer announced the beta, which will last for just four days, over at the title’s official forum.

Alpha 2 testers will receive an automatic invite to take part in the beta. Anybody else will be able to register over at the Hawken site or keep a close eye for codes on the game’s official Facebook and Twitter pages.

There’ll be no non-disclosure agreement with the open beta so expect a barrage of footage and screencaps once the beta begins.

Hawken’s open beta begins on December 12^th and will be fully compatible with the Occulus Rift VR headset, whose developer prototype will be shipping to all those who pledged more than $300 on the Kickstarter.
