The company has opened the Xbox Entertainment Studios in Los Angeles, where it’s looking to make a variety of “interactive TV” programs that are possibly going to be used with its new Xbox console, as well as Windows 8 and maybe even Surface as well.

The studio is represented by president of entertainment and digital media Nancy Tellem, who will oversee live events on Xbox, as she has done with the 2012 Election and similar interactive experiences for the Grammys and the upcoming Oscars, later this month.  There’s a chance the “interactive TV” could work with the Xbox 360 to some extent as well, though full plans haven’t been unveiled just yet.

We’ll likely know more about the original programming, as well as what Microsoft has in mind, come E3, when its official press conference is likely to be the place where the rumored Xbox 720 finally comes to light.  In the meantime, take comfort in knowing more media apps are currently coming to Xbox 360 in the meantime, with a variety of new TV and entertainment programs in the works.
