Xbox Game Pass Ultimate combines Xbox Live and Xbox Game Pass for $14.99, a feature that was leaked earlier this month but now officially confirmed during the most recent episode of Inside Xbox.

According to Microsoft, "Today, we're excited to announce Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will include all of the benefits of Xbox Live Gold with Xbox Game Pass. That means the full Xbox Game Pass library of over 100 high quality games, and Xbox Live Gold online multiplayer, in one convenient membership for $14.99 a month. With Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, gamers will be able to play together on the most-advanced multiplayer network and discover their next favorite game."

The Xbox Game Pass, when it was first revealed, was met with some skepticism but the attitude towards this subscription service quickly turned positive when Xbox One players gained access to first-party titles, at no additional charge, day one of release. With an ever growing library of games available for subscribers, the Game Pass Ultimate combines the best of Xbox Live and the Game Pass into one very affordable package.

For those that already have Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live, those memberships can be prorated to combine the two, saving money while also jumping all in with the Ultimate Xbox experience. That being said, Microsoft was very clear to reiterate that this option is absolutely voluntary, so for those that want to just stick with their Xbox Live membership can do just that.

The Xbox Game Pass Ultimate doesn't have a release date outside of later this year, though certain tiers of Xbox Insiders can begin testing it today.
