Evo 2018 Games Lineup

Registration begins on February 15 at 12 PM PT. In addition to the roster above, some of the games will have their top 8 finals on Sunday, while others will have finals throughout the weekend. While the order of the Sunday finals games has yet to be decided, we do know which games will have their finals on Sunday.

Sunday Finals Games

  • Guilty Gear Xrd: Rev 2
  • Super Smash Bros. Melee
  • Tekken 7
  • Dragon Ball FighterZ
  • Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle – While the game has yet to be released, this isn’t the first time Evo has selected a game that was not yet available, but would release before Evo. With Evo taking place in August this year that leaves even more time for games to relerase and Cross Tag Battle was one of these games. The game will release on June 5 in the US and May 31 in Japan.

Dragon Ball FighterZ – The brand new release from Bandai Namco and Arc System Works is one of the most popular and hyped up games of the year. It’s no surprise to see FighterZ at Evo 2018 and with a Sunday finals spot. The only real question here is if it will have the highest entrants of all games in the tournament. With so many fans coming together, it’s definitely possible!

Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 – Arc System Works has a huge presence at Evo 2018 with Cross Tag Battle and Rev 2 (not to mention the Bandai Namco published Dragon Ball FighterZ). While Rev 2 is the oldest of the titles from Arc System Works that’s being featured in the tournament, it will have a new balance update coming in March to keep things fresh.

Injustice 2 – Netherrealm fighting games have had a place in multiple Evolution tournaments in the past. This year Injustice 2 will take center stage, and with new DLC, including the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, coming this year, it’s bound be to a fun tournament to watch.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition – Street Fighter has been a mainstay at Evo and this year should be no different. With Arcade Edition recently released, and a third season of DLC coming throughout the year, it should be another exciting year for Street Fighter fans.

Smash Bros. – Both Smash Melee and Wii U will be featured at Evo 2018, and this year Melee takes center stage with the Sunday finals spot. Both games almost always offer huge player numbers (2,000+) and a great Sunday finals!

Tekken 7 – Namco’s marquee fighting game was featured at Evo even before it was released on console, so it’s no surprise to see it in the Evo 2018 lineup. With new characters such as Noctis from Final Fantasy XV being added to the lineup, Tekken 7 should be extremely entertaining.
