Can’t get enough Solid Snake or crawling around in cardboard boxes? Yeah, neither can we. That’s why it bodes well to see that Konami is releasing the upcoming PlayStation Vita port of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection sooner rather than later.
The company has announced that it will be releasing the game in the US on June 12 and then later in June for European and other overseas markets. The game is sure to bring in good Vita sales through both a retail and digital release, enthralling gamers as they take on the role of Snake and quietly dispatch of enemies through both Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
We are still waiting for a few games that have yet to make it to an MGS collection. For example, there’s Peace Walker, one of the bigger additions to the previous Metal Gear Solid HD releases for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, which is conspicuously missing from this package. Konami wouldn’t explain why, but we’re guessing it’s due to space reasons. Still doesn’t prevent us from hoping for a digital release someday!
