NetherRealm Studios has had a pretty solid fighting game track record. They’re also very punctual, releasing announcement trailers for Mortal Kombat 9, Injustice, Mortal Kombat X and Injustice 2 in the days or weeks leading up to E3. This year seems to be no different as Ed Boon’s twitter has been teasing something is coming for the last few weeks. MK fans should definitely expect something and more are saying we’ll see the MK11 trailer sooner rather than later. As soon as the MK11 trailer is here, we’ll be updating this article with information on the trailer, the new game, and an embed so you can watch the Mortal Kombat 11 trailer right here.
Mortal Kombat 11 Trailer Teasing
If you head over to Ed Boon’s twitter account you’ll see tons of people tweeting the co-creator of MK about the upcoming Mortal Kombat trailer. Boon has been teasing fans for a little while now with his trademark cryptic tweets that hint to something new on the horizon. While there’s no confirmation this something new is MK11, if history is anything to go by, a new MK will be announced sometime this week as we head into E3.
Mortal Kombat (2011) was a reboot of the series, with Mortal Kombat X taking things up to the next level with a plethora of new characters and three fighting styles for each. With every new iteration of MK and Injustice, the development team at NetherRealm seems to raise the bar, so expectations are high for MK11. Some are thinking the new game will feature a return to tag-based combat seen in some previous MK titles, but we should know for sure very soon.
Stay tuned to this article as we’ll be updating it as soon as the new MK11 trailer hits!
